39. Hungarian Parliament

Budapest, Hungary

Of all the cities I visited, Budapest felt the most exotic and fascinating. A mixture of old and new as well as prosperous and impoverished, Budapest was amazing. Pictured here is the Parliament building which sits along the Danube river. The same river that runs through Vienna and Bratislava. Budapest was gritty and real. After living in Vienna for months visiting Budapest was refreshing.

This area of Budapest had amazing architecture, stuff I had never seen before. The Parliament building was epic, the churches and government buildings across the area were amazing. In particular I loved the synagogue in Budapest. Hungarian people were friendly and helpful in getting around. I enjoyed Budapest because of its incredible monuments, beautiful views and how the Danube separated Buda and Pest down the middle.
