50. The Red Wallpaper

Munich, Germany

Taken within the Imperial palace in the heart of Munich. Interior design was definitely a strong-suit of whoever the Habsburg’s hired to decorate their palaces. In particular I loved the wallpaper in this room of the Imperial Palace. It reminded me of a short story I read in high school called the Yellow Wallpaper… I don’t remember much of the details of the story other than it involved a guy or maybe a girl going crazy because there was a ghost or something in the wallpaper talking to them. Anyway I imagined a Habsburg ruler staring at this wallpaper and becoming enchanted by its beauty
